The end.
And I almost forgot to post music today. Here’s a random selection out of itunes.
Song - Red
Band - NaNuchKa
(oh, also just wanted to add: I just watched tonight’s Hellcats, and it was - well I was going to say gayer than usual, except the awesome truth is that SMarti are just that gay every week. They had a long, heartfelt conversation about relationships, love, change, the future, etc etc etc. And it was SO GAY. If they had just stopped talking and kissed each other it would have made sense and fit right into the scene. Also Savannah can intentionally get dressed up to look like a slut and she’s still the most adorable person ever. I don’t understand how Ashley Tisdale is real sometimes.)
And Hellcats tangent over.
This episode is destroying what little respect I had left for Will.
Daily music post again :)
Another Rise Against this time. Song is: But Tonight We Dance.
I know I’ve said Less Than Jake is my favorite band and their music speaks to a lot of my personal experience, but in a general lyrical sense very, very little can compare to Rise Against. Tim McIlrath is a lyrical genius.
:D

How did I not know this show existed before yesterday? There aren’t words for how awesome it is. Kenzi is the best character since ever, and Bo/Lauren is all kinds of adorable (and totally just as canon as Bo/Dyson, which is great). Supernatural shows can be very hit or miss sometimes, but man I love this one so far. Everyone needs to be watching Lost Girl.

And another random picture of Kenzi for the hell of it.
Just a short post about a few thoughts I had randomly a minute ago, about entertainment and kind of the evolution of story telling.
So, I’m a TV addict. I watch too many shows to count and I seem to be constantly looking for more. Television’s quality lately just keeps getting better. There seem to be new shows with compelling characters and meaningful story lines coming out every year and it’s almost hard to keep up with sometimes. This isn’t news, it’s just the way things are and I’m sure everyone’s noticed it by now.
What just occurred to me however, is that not all that long ago (maybe a few years) I can remember having a list as long as my arm of all the great movies coming out soon that I wanted to see and getting so excited over various releases. That hasn’t happened to me lately. A few movies come out, maybe 4-5 times a year, that really get me excited and eager to go see them and maybe one or two of those really impress me.
I feel like this shouldn’t be news to me, but it is. The great storytellers are moving to a new medium and it’s really pretty exciting. I look at TV today, and I get the feeling it’s really only going to get better with time, more new shows are going to come out and I’m going to watch and love loads of them. I’m pretty excited about it. All this while Hollywood struggles to find an original idea while it releases legions of comic book movies and remakes itself into oblivion.
(holy shit, did I just write a blog entry? well, that was unexpected. I’m going to go back to watching Stargate Universe)
God I have such a huge variety in my music library. Picking a song to post for my daily-music-thing, whatever this is, gets annoyingly tough. Especially because I can’t upload more than one a day unless I want to post youtube videos.
Decided today on a more light hearted, and AWESOME, song choice :)
Axis of Awesome - Harry Potter and the Drunk Teenage Animals Escaping From Zoos.
If you can figure out how to get your hands on the Axis of Awesome’s album. DO IT. They are the best comedy music group I’ve ever encountered, even better than Lonely Island or the Aquabats. They’re also Australian, which is cool :)
And here’s another on my list of ‘best bands of all time’ :)
Band is Rise Against, song is To Them These Streets Belong. Had a tough time picking just one Rise Against song, this band doesn’t record bad songs, or even only kind of good songs. This is probably my favorite RA song, but honestly I have no idea which of their songs in my favorite.
Anyway, enjoy :)
And more music. This time the band is Killola. And they’re awesome. Chances are if you don’t keep up with Girltrash however, you’ve probably never heard of them. Well, they have 3 amazing albums and you all should go familiarize yourselves with them before the movie comes out next year and we all go see Mandy and Gabby singing their songs on the big screen :)
Anyway, song is Personal Graveyard. Had a tough time picking just one but that one came up on my playlist while in line to buy dinner tonight. It’s also one of my favorites.
Not much to say about this one. Just a great song :)
Alexz Johnson - Trip Around The World
Fuck. Fire drill right at the start of Community just long enough I’ll need to download and watch it later. Thanks tech, I appreciate it.
Music time. This time, it’s my all time favorite band and I can guarantee I’ll post more from them sooner or later.
I have a lot of ‘favorite’ bands, but Less Than Jake is on a whole different level. I have never been able to relate to music in the way I relate to Less Than Jake. They have entire albums devoted to the way I seem to feel every day, that post-highschool, early twenty-something feeling of ‘what now?’. The friends, and life, I left behind when I finished my second decade, and so many other thoughts and feelings that I can’t even really express. I have 153 Less Than Jake songs on my itunes and I’m sure I’ve played most of them more times than I could count.
If you haven’t spent a lot of time listening to Less Than Jake, you’re missing out. Say something to me, I’ll tell you where to start. I don’t want my friends going through life without LTJ.
So, I’ve got my WoW themed purple warlock class t-shirt from J!nx ready to go for tomorrow (see my current icon for what it looks like) (hey, it’s the only purple I have and I’m proud of my nerdlyness). I just wish I didn’t go to a school that has purple and gold as its colors. I know I’ll see tons of people wearing purple tomorrow, because I see tons of people wearing purple EVERY DAY. I want to be somewhere where wearing my purple shirt tomorrow might actually say something, or where I could tell who else out there might care about this cause too.
Guess I’ll just go about my day, and see if anyone else on campus is ~particularly purple tomorrow or if it’s just the regular sea of TTU shirts and hoodies. I could always pretend every one of them cares about bullying and suicide prevention. I’ll hold onto the belief that at least some of them do regardless.
So, I’m thinking maybe I’ll start posting a song of the day kind of thing. If I keep up with it at least that’ll keep me using this thing and maybe I’ll stumble into knowing what the hell I’m doing one of these days :)
Today: The Outsider - A Perfect Circle.
Hmm, I may not have a clue what I’m going with this thing. But you know what I am good at? Posting random music.
World Inferno Friendship Society. Brother of the Mayor of Bridgewater. Enjoy. :D
Hmm, Well I have one of these now. Maybe someday soon I’ll use it. And until then I’ll just follow random stuff and fill my dashboard with Allison Brie and Gillian Jacobs being amazing.
:D
